RUSI Journal

Published six times a year, the RUSI Journal is the Institute's flagship publication and a leading forum for the exchange of ideas on national and international defence and security issues. First published in 1857, the RUSI Journal is the oldest publication of its kind in the world and considered by practitioners and scholars alike to be essential reading for anyone seeking to understand war and conflict, the UK's and other states’ armed forces and defence and security policies, and military history. With ten to twelve timely and policy-relevant articles on contemporary defence and security matters, two to four scholarly studies on military history subjects and an expanded reviews section that includes book reviews and essays on film, art and media, the RUSI Journal consistently brings the most innovative and challenging perspectives to bear on past, present and future issues in the field.

Newsbrief

The Newsbrief is the Institute's cutting edge monthly briefing on current issues in international defence and security and the military sciences. Its brief format and high quality ensures an accurate and rapid response to world events.

 

RUSI Defence Systems RUSI Defence Systems is produced three times a year with One Publishing, and examines current strategic, conceptual and acquisition issues facing the global defence community.

 

HSR Monitor

The Monitor is the Institute's homeland security and resilience publication which is produced ten times a year. Encompassing a range of issues at strategic, operational and tactical levels relating to man-made, man-assisted and natural emergencies and disasters.

Whitehall Papers
The Whitehall Paper series provides in-depth studies of specific developments, issues or themes in the field of national and international defence and security. Published occasionally throughout the year, Whitehall Papers reflect the highest standards of original research and analysis, and are invaluable background material for policy makers and specialists alike.
